Last updated: 2026-07-15

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the developers of Sip (“we,” “us,” or “Sip”) governing your use of the Sip mobile application (the “App”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Sip. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Your account

Sip uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. You may delete your account at any time from within the App (More (•••) → Delete Account), which removes your profile, posts, comments, and photos from our servers.

3. User content

Sip lets you post photos, drink logs, ratings, notes, and comments (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content. By posting it, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute it solely to operate and provide the App (for example, showing your posts to your friends).

You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the rights to post it.

Sip provides tools to keep the community safe:

We use automated and manual systems to detect, restrict, review, and remove objectionable User Content, and may suspend or terminate the accounts responsible, at our sole discretion, with or without notice. These systems may not identify every violation — please report content that violates these Terms.

6. Privacy

Your use of Sip is also governed by our Privacy Policy at https://get-sip.app/privacy/. Notably, precise location never leaves your device; only the venue name and city/region you choose to attach to a post are shared with your friends.

7. Software license

The App itself is licensed to you under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any content will be preserved.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the App.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time.

Your right to use the App ends when your account or these Terms are terminated. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content ownership and license (Section 3), disclaimers (Section 8), and limitation of liability (Section 9) — survive.
